New Enhancements to Reporting and Item Image Upload

Improvements to Reporting and Image Uploading

What’s New?

With the latest Bid Beacon release, we’re giving admins more tools to make auction setup easier than ever before. Additionally, our new reporting enhancements will make the auction closeout more straightforward for organizations of all sizes.

Let’s dive into each change down below:

Report Consolidation

The first major change is with a few key silent auction reports. We’ve gone ahead and merged the Current Results report and Auction Closeout report into an all new, Item Management Report. Exportable at any time, the Item Management Report serves two purposes.

  1. Before Going Live: Organizers can use this report to easily verify that all items are set up correctly prior to going live. This means you can quickly review important item details such as, starting bids, bid increments, image counts, open and close dates, and much more.
  2. After Auction Closes: Organizers can then rely on this report to track everything related to the closeout process. From viewing winner details to payments made and items picked up, organizers can ensure the end of the auction is both manageable and stress free.

This new report will be accessible from both the Reports tab and Manage Items tab from within your auction’s management dashboard.

All New Platform Fee Charges Report

Continuing with reporting changes, our team has built out a brand-new report to add transparency around how Bid Beacon’s platform fee is calculated. Downloadable from the Reports tab within your auction’s management dashboard, organizers will get a breakdown of platform fee charges incurred by their auction.

What you can expect to see:

  • The sales amount platform fees were based on
  • The platform fee percentage applied
  • Platform fee totals
  • Payment details

Unlike the Item Management Report, the information included in the Platform Fee Charges report will be available after an item or the auction closes.

Image Upload and Sorting

The last major change in this release has to do with item images, specifically around uploading. Gone are the days where a silent auction organizer will need to upload a single image at a time when creating or editing an item. Now, we’re giving organizers the ability to upload up to 10 images at a time!

That’s not all! There’s also no limit on the total number of images an item can have, giving organizations complete control over how they showcase each item. And if you find yourself wanting to rearrange the order of those images afterwards, you’ll be able to easily sort images at the click of a button.

Wrapping Up

We are extremely happy to bring these changes to Bid Beacon and can’t wait to see how they help our dedicated fundraisers run even more successful silent auctions. By enhancing the auction reports and making the item image upload more efficient, we hit our goal of giving organizers time back and reducing the stress that comes with managing a silent auction.
