Canada’s Event for Event Professionals, GO WEST, held their 3-day conference in Edmonton, AB this year, and our team had the honor to attend as exhibitors! As an Edmonton-based company with products commonly used by event professionals (Bid Beacon, Raffle Rocket), this was a must-attend event.
On the final day of GO WEST, our team set up a booth in The Experiential Hall to showcase Bid Beacon, and to promote Raffle Rocket as a soon-to-be certified raffle system. Simply put, the reception we received was outstanding. At our booth, we had touchscreens available to demo both administration and guest experiences, as well as custom signs promoting our membership programs (Event Planner Participation Program, Customer Incentive Participation Program).
Last of all, we created our own silent auction to demo to GO WEST attendee. Included in the auction were items such as gift cards, free Bid Beacon auctions, a Sephora gift basket, and for the grand prize, a Connor McDavid jersey! To win, no purchase was necessary, we simply asked that guests join the auction and place a bid on the item(s) that they were interested in. To determine the winners, we drew names at random from the list of bidders for each item. Guests who joined our auction had so much fun that by the time the Experiential Hall closed, there was a total of 3,105 bids placed! And get this, the Hall was only open for 4 hours!
Overall, it was great to make new connections and reconnect with familiar faces. This is one event that our team cannot wait to attend again.
